Environmental Impact of Digital Conference 2027 – Call for lightning presentations now open

The Environmental Impact of Digital Conference 2027 is a one-day event exploring digital environmental sustainability, taking place at Jesus College Oxford on 4 March 2027. Organised by the University of Oxford's gardens, libraries and museums (GLAM), Centre for Digital Scholarship (Bodleian Libraries) and the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub at Jesus College Oxford, the conference will showcase digital approaches, technologies and methods which aim to reduce environmental impact. 

A call for lightning presentations is now open. We are inviting presenters from any discipline to submit ideas for 7-minute lightning-talks on a particular aspect of digital environmental sustainability. The deadline for submissions is 5pm (UK British Summer Time) on 4th September 2026. The conference is aimed at graduate/research students, researchers, staff and practitioners in higher education, cultural heritage (GLAM) and / or sustainability.
